Will Wikileaks act of treason cause the Government to overreact and now put restrictions on the Internet?

A citizen of one country cannot commit treason against another country. All the stuff that has been recently released by Wikileaks was from diplomatic sources and no harm greater than a bit of embarrassment has been caused – it isn’t as though they have released any state secrets. Rather than trying to put restrictions on the internet the US Government should adopt the policy with diplomatic messages that are sensibly applied to other classified information, and restrict circulation to those with a need to know, rather than circulating them to anybody who may have a passing interest, then it’s unlikely to happen again.
