Will wide receivers Javon Walker and Johnnie Lee Higgins ever get another chance?
Walker has not shown much in his limited opportunities. However, Higgins was injured giving his all on a pass play late in a game. He deserves another chance. Mr. Davis clearly wants to go with the younger players, but leaving Heyward-Bey on the field feels forced. Heyward-Bey isn’t producing much at all. He has caught two of the 20 passes thrown his way this season. 7. Why doesn’t cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha shadow the opponent’s top receiver? Team after team takes advantage of the fact that the Raiders refuse to move around Asomugha except for a handful of plays each game. Opposing offensive coordinators create mismatches and every week we watch linebackers attempt to cover top wide receivers as Asomugha is taken out of the play by a decoy. 8. Why hasn’t running back Darren McFadden been used out wide as a receiver? We saw it all the time in training camp, but once the season started it disappeared.
