Will Vitamin E Gel Capsules help with a red mark left after a pimple?

Vitamin E is great for scars, but I am not positive if it will help with the red mark left after picking at a pimple. The redness is caused by the inflammation of the tissues in the area–they are inflamed from the actual picking and squeezing. I think your best option would be to apply ice to the area first, to help bring down the inflammation, and then apply the Vitamin E. Also, just so we’re clear, you don’t take the Vitamin E orally, you puncture the end of the capsule with a pin and apply it to the area. (Forgive me if you already knew that, but I know some people aren’t always clear on how to use Vitamin E capsules in this type of situation.) I think if you do it that way, you have a much better chance of the Vitamin E oil working effectively for you. Be advised that there isn’t anything on the market which will make the spot go away immediately–the best you can do is cover it up. The Vitamin E oil will help with healing, however, even if it does take a bit longer.
