Will Vitamin C pills have a negative affect on an individual with gout?
Citric acid and Ascorbic acid are not the same, and Vitamin C has actually been known to reduce gout. The key is to make sure the label doesn’t contain citric acid at all.
I would also add that magnesium is needed to help reduce the inflamation of gout.
Start with a small amount of vitamin C to see how you respond for a few days, then increase after a week to see how much you can tolerate.
