Will Venezuela Enter Mercosur?
Known as the Common Market of the South, Mercosur is South America’s premier trade bloc, with a combined market encompassing over 250 million people and over three-quarters of the economic activity on the entire continent. Mercosur policies regulate import and export tariffs as well as mediate trade disputes between member states. Long-term goals of Mercosur include the creation of a South American free-trade area.
