Will using the ugg waterproof spray make my uggs different?
The spray will change the surface of the boot slightly. You do need to use the waterproof spray in order to keep your boots clean and keep your feet dry in extreme conditions. It is not a bad change, by any means, it just makes them a bit less soft to the touch. You need to use the cleaner also, to keep your boots in good condition. I own two pairs a classic black tall, and a classic black short, as well as a pair of clogs. I live in an area of the country where we can have extreme storms with lots of snow, as well as sleet, rain and mixes of all of the above. I have owned and loved my Ugg boots for over seven years, and they are both as wonderful and warm as they ever have been. They are wonderful, even when I have had to walk through flooded conditions. I have been in water that is six inches or so in my tall pair, walking for about a mile; and when I have gotten home my feet and legs have been perfectly warm and dry. I clean and respray mine every couple of weeks, and let them dry o
Uggs, or any other swead fabrics on shoes DO need the spay because swead (the wierd leather material I can’t spell, lol) will change colors if it gets wet somewere and not in another place its like coloring on a piece of pink construction paper with a pink marker you do see it were you colored and didn’t and if you color over the same spot and not another the colors look off, just like swead and water, also the salt can dye spots onto the fabric. So even though it is even more expensive but it to save you boots looking nice and not wasteing $140, oh, also, you don’t need specifically Ugg spray go to walmart , or target, or any other cheep store, they have the same type sprays(I think in camping). But at least to kind of “protect your investment” of those boots its worth it to buy the spray.
