Hi. Yes you can use USB 2.0 with Usb 3.0 as they are backward compatible. The problem is that the USB 2.0 will only run at the speed of USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0. If you want USB 3.0 speed which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 then you need USB 3.0 interface. It’s the same if you plug a USB 3.0 into a USB 2.0 interface it will only run at interface on the Motherboard.
