The Federal Trade Commission says it has received complaints from consumers who thought they were ordering their free annual credit report, but instead paid hidden fees or agreed to unwanted services. “Anyone can write a catchy jingle, but only AnnualCreditReport.com provides you with a truly free credit report,” one of the FTC spots says.
