Will TxDOT landscape the median areas along the frontage roads?
As part of the reconstruction of the IH 10/Katy Freeway corridor, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is committed to a reforesting program along the corridor. Some of the plantings to be used along the IH 10/Katy Freeway Corridor include, but are not limited to: native pines, oaks, hollies, sweet gums, cypress, elms, maples, and sycamore. More than 75,000 trees will be planted within the IH 10 corridor. The landscape contracts will begin after road construction is completed.
