Will trees grow back if it got sprayed with round up?
If you did this recently, in early spring, you may be ok. The active chemical in Roundup hurts trees the most when sprayed in late summer or fall. In the spring, a healthy tree may be able to withstand the effects of the chemical. It really depends on how old and healthy the tree was when hit (mid-life, vigorous trees have the best chance of surviving) and how much foliage was killed. Trees that are deprived of their foliage for most of the season will be severely weakened and may die. But if only a little foliage was killed and it was early enough in the season, the tree will probably produce more foliage. Keep your fingers crossed, and call your county extension agent for free advice based on the type of tree and the conditions in your area.
