Will this Home Theatre System give me good sound while watching blu-rays?
It might sound a little better than the speakers built in the TV but none of those little HTiB’s with little tiny plastic speakers will sound even close to good. It will be closer to 80 watts than it is to 800 watts, manufacturers have gotten just as bad as they were in the 1970’s before the Federal Trade Commission came down on them. They just flat out lie about the power output capability. They use to use loop holes like giving you a peak to peak number etc but now they just pull numbers out of the air. Get yourself a nice little Denon, Onkyo, HK or other inexpensive receiver $250 ~ $350 range and some sort of real speakers. They don’t have to be good speakers, just not toys like the ones in the link to the Sony you provided. For such a small TV you really don’t need a center speaker so you would be better to buy two better speakers as opposed to three cheaper ones.
