Will this graphics card work with my computer (desktop), and will it be better then my existing Geforce6100Se?

Unfortunately you already bought that computer. It came with a single-core Athlon processor, which is the big bottleneck. That GTS250 video you linked is MUCH better than your existing 6100se, but it’s overkill for your system. Because of the weak processor, you wouldn’t notice the difference between running that card and ones costing half as much. In order to reap the benefits of that GTS250, you’d need a more powerful CPU, at least a dual-core. Another thing is the GTS250 requires a fairly strong power supply (Your computer specs don’t say what it came with, I’ll bet it’s 300W or less)- for the GTS250 you need 450W minimum. For that computer, spending $80 for a Radeon 4670 or GeForce 9600GT is the best single upgrade you can make. Compared to your existing onboard graphics it would be a quantum leap forward. You could upgrade the power supply and go to a slightly better card like the GeForce 9800GT or Radeon 4770. But again with your slow CPU there’s no immediate benefit to those car
