Will there really ever be a third bridge connecting Port Royal to Ladys Island?
Nothing is impossible, but a third bridge to Ladys Island is highly unlikely in the next decade due to the projected cost ($148 million) and minimal benefit. However, alternate solutions to reduce the amount of traffic traveling through the City of Beaufort will most likely be determined and implemented.
