Will there be any odours generated by the Intermodal Complex?
Because of the isolated location of the site – more than 1 km away from residential areas –, the fact that a foliage barrier and earth berm will be erected along almost all of its perimeter and that potential sources of odour are limited to equipment and machinery that are rarely stationary (trucks, locomotives, automobiles and transshipment equipment), the impact of any odours on neighbouring homes will be negligible.
