No, initially the scheme will only apply to existing staff if they are changing jobs within regulated activity on or after 12 October 2009. Staff that are already working in regulated activity and who are not changing jobs will gradually be included onto the Scheme as part of the phasing in programme. It is essential that employers follow the phasing in programme so as not to put unnecessary demand on services provided by the ISA/CRB and to assure that the Scheme is implemented properly with minimum delays to services.
