Will there be a reorganisation of secondary provision?
It is accepted that the co-location of any schools will require the support of governors, staff, pupils and parents and their wishes will be taken into account. Where two or more schools do not wish to co-locate they will not be forced to though they must accept that BSF and other major funding streams for capital works may be affected by their decision. If Halton do not propose schemes in line with DfES policies (e.g. addressing minimum pupil numbers, surplus place reduction, inclusion) then our case for funding for all schools is weakened in a competitive bidding environment and is likely to be unsuccessful.
