Will there be a change in the standards of facilities management (e.g. Catering, Cleaning) services being provided?
No. The majority of facilities management services (e.g. Catering, Cleaning, Portering) will continue to be run as they currently are, and these services will be largely unaltered by the building of the new hospital. The Consort Healthcare will manage Security and the standard of these services will, as a minimum, be equivalent to the standards currently provided at Tameside General Hospital. The Trust will be working with its Consort Healthcare to improve on these standards wherever possible.
