Will there be a 4th of pirates of the caribbean?
There is another Pirates movie planned, quite possibly filming more than one (as they did last time) since it’s very difficult to get the cast together. I heard something of a 2012 release after reading something on imdb.com, but that is sketchy at best, given Johnny Depp’s schedule. The first of the next “batch” may not even be seen until 2013 or 2014, due to the numerous special effects that are used and the long time it takes to film them. Also, someone has to write the scripts for these films, and currently, I don’t think too much has been written. They may even attempt to film all 3 of them at the same time, since getting that type of a cast together is going to be difficult. Yes, there will be more POTC movies, but not for a few more years due to scheduling conflicts, etc. I know Johnny Depp will want to do it because of the big paycheck, as long as the scripts are good. Other members of the cast do to, but the biggest drawback is just that filming those movies takes SO much time
