Yes. King Georges volunteer agency (King George Fire & Rescue, Inc.) depends upon donations to provide approximately 25% of their total operating cost. Donations provide the funding for uniforms for their members and enable volunteers to maintain the emergency equipment, provide firefighting protective gear, pagers, building repairs and other costs. 26. Will the ambulance fees provide all the support needed to help Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services meet its challenges? No. It is hoped that the ambulance fee for service will assist in funding for additional personnel, equipment, and stations that are needed in the next several years. However, fire, rescue, and emergency services also have significant operational and equipment expenses that will not be wholly funded by ambulance fees.
