Only the actual amount that has been deposited into the HSA is available for reimbursements. Lubrizol will contribute the total annual employer amount on January 2. Your contribution, if made through payroll deductions, is prorated over the course of the year. If you make the full employee contribution on your own to the HSA, it will be available as soon as the contribution is credited to your account.
