Will the Thunderhawk Performance small block Ford main girdle fit with my factory oil pan?
That depends. Ford used two different oil pans over the years on the 5.0L Mustang. Our main girdle kit fits with the earlier style oil pan, used from 1979 to 1990. There are very few main girdles, which will fit with the later style pan, used from 1990 to 1995. This late style oil pan must be modified or replaced when installing a Thunderhawk Performance main girdle. All popular after-market performance oil pans should be designed to fit with a main girdle, contact your pan manufacturer for details.
