Will the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center replace the Museum on the National Mall?
No. The new center is an addition to the Museum complex and will allow the Museum to display 80% more of the collection to the public, including the SR-71 Blackbird, Space Shuttle Enterprise, and Boeing B-29 Superfortress Enola Gay. The Museum on the National Mall will remain open with its key artifacts still on display, including the Wright 1903 Flyer, Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia and Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis. More information is available on the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center pages.
