Sims 2 should most definitely work, the only thing that I can imagine could happen would be that at times the Walls, while building a house, wont appear (loading issues), or some of the effects wont be present. All of this can be adjusted in the game and it conforms to maximize your video card settings, so it should be able to work with a generic video card.
