Will the scarcity of natural resources lead to war one day?

0

Water has been the cause of conflict and war for centuries. The Middle East has been in almost constant conflict over their water supply for nearly 1,000 years in the areas that are now Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Israel, Jordan, etc. It is also the number one concern for future conflict. Other natural resources of concern are oil/natural gas (also a huge commodity of the middle east), gems stones/diamonds (Africa/South America), even timber. The US has been in conflict with obviously Iraq over oil but they have had conflict also with Russia over gas deposits in the arctic as well recently. So yes, due to the simple economic laws of supply and demand, scarcity of natural resources will lead to war, is leading to war, and has led to war.
