Will the “Saltwater” formula of Fishbites work in Freshwater as well?
Right now Fishbites is only available in one formula and that is the “Saltwater” formula. You will even see that written on our product bags. As a company, we are extremely sensitive to how anglers perceive us and our products and we have no desire to endorse our products for anything until field tests and studies provide clear evidence that our products work as advertised. We have done some limited freshwater testing of the saltwater formula of Fishbites and we have not gotten the same, consistent results in those freshwater tests. So we believe that we will need to tweak the current formula in order to make Fishbites work in Freshwater with the same consistency it does in Saltwater. While we always encourage experimentation with our products, and there will be a few anglers who will have some success with it in Freshwater (some have written to us and we salute them and their angling skills). CSB Fishbites(tm) will go on record and say that we cannot recommend our line of “saltwater”
