GDP and jobs are down as a whole across the country; and with the dollar at an all time low and the housing crunch putting an additional squeeze on the economy, you’d think that entertainment would be dramatically affected as well. Truth is, the entertainment industry continues to churn in both good time and dark times. The main reason is that typical television viewers and movie goers look to entertainment as a way to escape their troubles in bad times and live out fantasies in good times. Either way, they keep showing up no matter what is going on with the economy. So, if you’re looking for an industry where economic stability is fairly consistent, look no further than entertainment.
