The ProtxL oil filter system will not affect oil additive performance in any way. Additives are chemically manufactured and hot blended and dissolved into the oil at the oil terminal production facility and cannot be removed by finer filtration. If any additive value is reduced it is normally replenished when top-up oil is added to the engine at the time of servicing the ProtxL oil filter.
