Beginning around Monday, March 5th, hundreds, and now thousands of Facebook users became fans of North Carolina’s Governor Bev Perdue’s page for two main reasons: To post their cruelty allegations at the state’s animal shelters, especially in Robeson County, and to plead for the end to the use of gas chambers and heart stick (warning graphic) to kill the animals in that state. It started with postings reminding Perdue of her campaign promises during her candidacy in the governor’s race in 2008.
