The players want to be on that plane to play in that match, for the simple reason of the amount of money it will make them. I can see that if the England team were to loose that game they players not in the team would start making claims that they would have got the job done or what ever, though in truth would they? I agree that the winner takes all aspect adds a hell of a lot of pressure on the players and that may be they should have a split of the money, but I think the winners should get more than double what the losers get to make it worth while playing to win, and to give that sense of “look how much money we’ve won, and all you get is x amount” the boasting factor as I like to call it. I can see the point of winner takes all though, it adds to the spice of it all, although it adds pressure to the players and it could cause unrest in the dressing room at future games, win or lose really if they lose more so, as they will be annoyed with each other or an individual player, but if
