The Lantronix EPS1 offers printer support for both true Dataproducts and Centronics interfaces. The EPS1 is designed to accommodate both interfaces with a cable change. The print server is designed to autosense between the two interfaces based on signals received through the cable. The ports can also be permanently defined to Dataproducts or Centronics mode. The EPS1 with one parallel port will accommodate either a Dataproducts or Centronics printer. The EPS2 offers 2 parallel ports. The first parallel port (P1) will offer both printer interfaces (Dataproducts or Centronics). The second parallel port (P2) will only allow Centronics interfaces. Both the EPS1 and EPS2 support bi-directional data transfer on their parallel ports using the Bitronics Centronics mode extensions. Note that this mode will only work with printers that also support Bitronics mode.
