Will the Palm Pre cause a legal dispute with Apple over multitouch technology?
Actually I think that both Palm and Apple licensed their “multi-touch” technologies from third parties. Not to mention it’s difficult to patent something like this. The only thing you can actually patent is the technology behind this. I forget why but you can’t patent the actually gestures used. I read several articles on this and there is no clear consensus. I’m looking forward to seeing the other answers.
