Will the new neighborhoods annex into the Rancho Murieta Association?
The Murieta South units will annex. Other portions of the development may also annex, provided they conform to the RMA’s governing documents. The remaining properties, ones with CC&Rs that differ from the RMA’s, could also be annexed, but only with the approval of 60 percent of the association’s members. Even then, those new phases could have their own provisions in the CC&Rs, such as front yard landscaping as an association service. Murieta Holdings says a “seamless” relationship will exist between the RMA and the new neighborhoods whether or not annexation occurs. Under the proposed development agreement, each phase of the new development will be permitted to form its own homeowners sub-association and the sub-associations will be under a central homeowners association, probably the RMA.
