A detailed assessment and investigation of the Railyards site has been undertaken and some of the issues considered include: • An assessment of the impact of and on surrounding activities • Geological testing • A risk assessment of sea level rise and potential flooding during extreme weather events • Assessment of site contamination and remedial work • The capacity of existing services, such as power, water and sewerage, and road access. The assessment concluded that there were no issues of a magnitude that would prevent the site being used to locate a new hospital facility.
