Will the MP treat paresthesia and neuropathy?
Abnormal sensations such as prickling, tingling, itching, burning or cold, skin crawling or impaired sensations–are all called parasthesia. These symptoms usually arise from nerve damage (neuropathy). Continued nerve damage can lead to numbness (lost of sensation) or paralysis (loss of movement and sensation). Paresthesia is one of the symptoms of Hypervitaminosis-D. Most people have experienced temporary paresthesia — a feeling of “pins and needles” — at some time in their lives when they have sat with legs crossed for too long or fallen asleep with an arm crooked under their head. It happens when sustained pressure is placed on a nerve. The feeling quickly goes away once the pressure is relieved. Paresthesia is often felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, but can also occur in other parts of the body such as mouth or chest. It may be constant or intermittent.
