MindStorms requires a 200 Mhz processor or above on a Windows ’98 operating system. The vast majority of school Win ’98 systems far exceed this recommendation. Only older upgraded Win ’95 systems will struggle. If this is an issue, the simplest solution is to move systems around in school or better, use a laptop.
