i believe it has to be approved first to the second answer reconstructive surgery is a type of plastic surgery plastic surgery is a general term, under that you have cosmetic, reconstructive etc. ive had plastic surgery on my pinky finger to try and fix the break and to stop the tendons from overshooting. considered plastic but it was in no way cosmetic because it looks gimpy as hell!
