Will the Magnavox H2160MW9 HDD DVD Recorder respond to a Dish Network 211 receiver IR Blaster signal to begin and end the recording cycle?
My Dish Network 211 satellite receiver allows me to create a timer to record a program to my Sony VCR by selecting the channel to record. Then the Dish receiver switches to the designated channel a couple of minutes before the start time, then emits an infra Red signal through its IR blaster that tells my VCR to begin recording at the pre determined time and then sends another to stop the recording at the end of the timer. It does not turn the VCR on and off so I must leave it turned on in order for it to work. Now the question I have is, will the Magnavox H2160MW9 respond to the IR blaster on my Dish 211 receiver in the same way or must I set a separate coordinated timer on it.
