Long Beach, Calif. – The Los Angeles Kings offseason may have been uneventful outside of the National Hockey League draft, but the team may have set itself up for years to come. The Kings, by trading away its high-priced players and allowing its veterans walk away in free agency, have almost certainly ensured a losing season. The silver lining, however, is that next year’s top draft pick may be the face of whichever franchise he joins for years to come.
