Will the Kennewick man come back to haunt the prosecutors of Jack Harelson?
Mr. Harelson appears to have been prosecuted on an assumption that the artifacts he recovered were those of ancient Indians. The facts may be that the artifacts in question were not made by Indians. It is possible the artifacts were made by the Caucasian Kennewick man, which has been in the news for the past year. He is known to have inhabited the Northwest 10,000 years ago.
