I don’t know you personally so you may or not be crazy but if you are willing to call yourself a Royals fan than at least you are loyal. I could see them having less that 100 losses but making a run for the playoffs is a bit of a pipe dream. Yet, a year ago if the same question was asked about the Tigers I might have given a similar answer. Then again, KC’s pitching isn’t nearly as good so I can’t say the Royals stand a chance at topping the Indians, Twins, and Tigers. The owner’s pockets may have opened but for the wrong player…check the numbers; Gil Meche is mediocre at best, not to mention the fact he played in a pitcher’s ballpark in Seattle. In KC’s ballpark he will be giving up homers left and right. Unfortunately for the Royals I’d have to say they might have made the worst signing of the offseason and most hot stove news has expressed similar feelings about it.
