The Intex 1000 gal hr Pool Filter Pump is an excellent choice for above ground, chlorinated pools. However, this pump is certainly not designed for in-ground pools that use salt water. If you are looking for a quality pool pump, check out the Intex 2000GPH Salt Water Pump. It runs about $275.00, but is also made very well and will last for many years with proper care.
