The Australian Government has made a commitment to provide the 56 regional natural resource management organisations with secure base-level funding for the first five years of Caring for our Country (2008-09 to 2012-13). They may also seek Caring for Country funding above their secure base-level funding allocation to help achieve further targets. Multi-regional and cross jurisdictional projects will be encouraged.
