Will the Economic Renewal Programme result in organisational change?
The Economic Renewal Programme will seek to ensure we have the right mix of policies in place and crucially the appropriate organisation to facilitate delivery. If we are to continue to serve the businesses and people of Wales and support a more favourable environment for business growth then we need not only the most appropriate policies but also the best delivery mechanisms and organisation. If there is to be organisational change then this will be because it is going to enable more efficient and effective delivery. However, the ASPB mergers in 2006 also delivered major organisational change and those changes stand us in good stead as we look to renew our approach to economic development. We appreciate the impact that uncertainty can have upon staff and our customers and so every effort will be made to keep internal and external stakeholders fully informed.
