The council has a bulky collection service which is free for flood affected households. The normal charge for residents has been waived due to the exceptional circumstances and the council is dealing with insurance companies direct to recover the cost of the collections. All property must have been seen by insurance companies before it is disposed of. Anyone who has damaged property they would like collecting should call the floodline on (01482) 393399.
