In my opinion, the coming PA Turnpike increases will in many ways reduce the number of drivers on the road, and may also get others to carpool to work, use public transportation, and seek alternate driving routes to reach their destination. It seems to me that the board members should explore other options in terms of increasing the PA Turnpike’s revenue stream, such as floating bonds, requesting more money from the legislature, cutting back on future infrastructure projects, and deploying more automated toll collection devices.
