European antitrust regulators have been wielding a club over technology companies, and it’s beginning to pay off handsomely for them. The latest bit of good news for Europe’s beleaguered tech industry comes in the way of 900 new jobs that Intel ( INTC – news – people ) is creating in Europe for its large-scale supercomputing effort run jointly with the French Atomic Energy Commission and some research agencies there.
