Will the Buffalo Bills Signing of C.J. Spiller Send Marshawn Lynch Packing?
Now that running back C.J. Spiller has signed with the Buffalo Bills for $25 million (or up to $37 million), will his arrival mean the departure of Marshawn Lynch or even Fred Jackson? It could, but I certainly hope it doesn’t. Can you imagine the backfield weapons head coach Chan Gailey could have at his disposal for the pathetic Buffalo offense? Spiller is a play maker—a quick, speedy, shifty back for the slot position who can also run back kicks and punts. Now Lynch, who has shown unbelievable talent at times, especially when he gets into “beast mode” is hard-running, hard-hitting and hard-nosed. Jackson is a perfect mix between Spiller and Lynch. He hits the hole quick enough, is a good receiver out of the backfield, and is a solid running back. Three types of talented running backs, all on one team. No one should complain about not getting the ball enough. Spiller is a rookie and shouldn’t expect it. Lynch, after last season, has to prove himself and Jackson is an all-around team
