Will the Bowmaster Bow Press work on a crossbow?

I am sorry, but the Bowmaster was not designed to be used on a crossbow and NO attempt should be made to use the Bowmaster on a crossbow. The likelihood that it will fail is extremely high. On a conventional compound bow with a draw weight of 70 lb, it can take more than 500 lb to compress the limbs. Many crossbows have draw weights of 150 lb and higher. Although we have never tested the amount of poundage that it would take to compress a crossbow with a draw weight of 150 lb, we can assume that it could easily be upwards of 1000 lb. Neither the Bowmaster Bow Press nor Brackets were designed to handle this amount of weight. We are aware that crossbows are becoming more and more popular and we have considered manufacturing a press for them but we do not have anything in the works at this time.
