No. BLM believes this closure must remain to prevent the formation of unlawful assemblies occurring in this area at night due to its proximity to Hwy 78. The current closure was initiated by the Imperial County Board of Supervisors in consultation with the Imperial County Sheriffs Department and the BLM.
