Will the below listed weighing scale hold the reading for few seconds b4 its gone?
Most weight scales like this only measure to the closest half-pound, as this one does. Depending upon the accuracy needed, it may or may not do the job. If you need it to the closest ounce (1/16th of a pound, usually used for determining postage) or even to the closest .1 pound, then it will not do the job. A scale like this will round up or down to the nearest half-pound, which is fine for most things. One pound really does not weigh that much in the big scheme, but it’s all the little schemes that add up. Also, whether you set the scale on a soft surface or a hard surface can make a difference of a few pounds. This website (http://members.aol.com/lmarknyt/pennies.html) cites some data that 200 pennies= 1lb. This other website (http://www.kokogiak.com/megapenny/1.asp) claims that it is 160 pennies. The Treasury web site says this: http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_mint/index.cfm?
